THE HISPANIC CONCERT 2018

The Hispanic concert has become well-established as a popular  annual event within not just the Hispanic Department, but throughout all of the School of Languages and Cultures.

Part of the final-year module 'Popular Music in the Hispanic World', it is part of the coursework overseen by the University of Sheffield’s Dr Peter Watt. Talking about the module, he said: “This project has allowed students to explore the influence of popular music in Hispanic Studies in a very hands-on and unique way.”

The album launch after-party included  a late-night Latin jazz jam featuring Cubana favourite Piero Tucci on saxophone and Dr Pete Watt on piano.

A massive thanks to everyone who came along to the 2018 Hispanic Concert at Cubana Tapas Bar.

Photos/videos of the night will be uploaded here soon, make sure to keep checking back
