BUENAS VIBRAS ALBUM
Artwork: Joseph Mayhew
Throughout the semester we have been studying social and political movements in the Hispanic world, with particular focus on the use and significance of music at the time when such movements took place. Often no only can music be viewed as a byproduct of social and political movements, but is also a tool for highlighting social injustice and causing change, making it therefore a historical document and powerful social commentary.
To accompany the theory classes, up to 14 students spent around a month and a half recording and working on an album to demonstrate understanding of how various musical genres were born into and within the Hispanic world.
The album is now finished and produced. If you would like a physical copy, please get in touch. If you prefer, the digital album is available to buy now for just £6 - and get a free digital album booklet with all of the album info and individual track notes and lyrics.
